AndroGel Days Supply Calculator

AndroGel 1.62% days supply for the 88 g pump (75 g dispensed, 60 actuations of 1.25 g) and cartons of 1.25 g or 2.5 g packets.

Enter the quantity dispensed and how much the patient uses per day. The calculator converts the sig into daily use, then divides the dispensed amount to give days supply with the full worked math.

This calculator uses the same training math as the Creams, ointments & gels calculator and sits on the days-supply calculator hub. Compare hydrocortisone cream days supply or Estrace cream calculator. See tools hub or practice on the pharmacy technician math quiz.

Worked example: AndroGel 1.62% pump

The 88 g pump dispenses 75 g of gel as 60 actuations of 1.25 g (20.25 mg testosterone each). Two actuations a day are 2.5 g/day, and 75 ÷ 2.5 = 30 days. Dividing the 88 g pump weight instead floors to 35 days and counts gel the pump does not dispense. Packets are 1.25 g or 2.5 g, in cartons of 30. AndroGel 1% is a different label.

Frequently asked questions

Is an AndroGel pump an 88-day supply?

No. 88 g is the pump weight. The 1.62% label dispenses 75 g as 60 actuations. Days supply depends on how many actuations the sig uses per day.

How do you calculate days supply?

Divide the total quantity dispensed by the amount the patient uses per day. The hard part is converting the sig into a daily amount first: milliliters per day, puffs per day, drops per day, units per day, or grams per day.

Is this days supply calculator free?

Yes. Every Allied Health Academy pharmacy tool is free to use, with no account required, and shows the step-by-step math so you can check your own work.

Can I use this at work?

These tools are built for pharmacy technician training and exam practice. Always verify the result against the prescription, the product label, and your pharmacist before billing a claim.

For educational purposes only — consult the pharmacist or prescriber. This tool computes days supply from the quantity and directions you enter. It does not recommend doses, diagnose, or determine insurance eligibility.
